The core series of
e-books (called the "Backbone Books") provides the general support for the remainder of the curriculum. In the first seven years (before and during elementary school), students progress through alphabet, sounds, phonics, words, sentences, paragraphs and stories. Then over the next seven years (during high school), the focus shifts to areas of communication, starting with an introduction, then covering situations, ideas, opinions, socializing, concepts and natural English. This progression is carefully organized to reflect increasing complexity; changing needs and interests; and the student's developmental stages. |

| This comprehensive backbone is supplemented by a second series (called "Build Up Your Skills") that contains an array of specific skills. The series starts with "Build Up Your Phonics," then goes into spelling, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, drama, literature and idioms (natural expression and usage). Each skill contains a number of
e-books aimed at helping the students master that area of learning.
The flexibility afforded by the structure is endless. An ESL teacher, for example, may be teaching the Backbone Book "Clear Communication -Opinions" and notice that students have a traditional educational background (with emphasis on reading and writing at the expense of listening and speaking). The teacher may therefore plug this educational gap with an
e-book of suitable level from "Build Up Your Listening Skills" and another from "Build Up Your Verbal Skills" (there are twelve levels to choose from in both Listening Skills and Verbal Skills). |

Other series available include Test Preparation (for standard English tests such as TOEFL or GEPT) and Science English. We even have a complete Homeschooling Series (K-12) with mini-lessons in English; Mathematics; Science & Technology; Art & Craft; Health & Physical Education; Society & Environment; Ethics & Manners; Geography; History; and more. Some e-books, such as those in the Test Preparation series, include teacher's manuals, but in general we prefer to cut costs and bother by incorporating instructions, tips and answers in the textbook. The teacher's role is then less mysterious, authoritative and vertically separated and more to do with guiding, facilitating and expanding alongside the students. The teacher can still maintain respect and discipline, but it is just more friendly to be in the same boat. That is not to say that we do not have general teacher's guides. We do! |

| Quality
All e-books have been thoroughly tested in schools prior to publication. We don't publish unless we are sure of exciting results. Students using each e-book must progress rapidly (both intellectually and emotionally). There is nothing more disheartening for teacher and students than to be just plodding along. All our e-books provide concentrated and hefty educational payoffs. Students must also be engaged, stimulated and challenged by the e-book's contents. Exercises must actually work. Teachers must enjoy using the materials. |
