Daily-Update Publishers:
Daily-Update Publishers commenced operations on 20/03/2001. We provide quality English textbooks for schools and English language institutes, as well as patented resources such as our Flapper series of folding flashcards. We also have e-books in the areas of English learning and ESL (English as a Second Language), catering for students, parents and teachers. A limited number of interesting books from the public domain (whether classics or obscure texts) are also published. Public domain e-books are provided free but  subject to Daily-Update copyright on the format.

All books are printed in English (usually in both UK English and US English versions), with the exception of some books in Chinese (both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese). Many books are available in both black-and -white and colour. Most of the basic books come with an audio CD.

Expressions of Interest:
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts for books that teach English, particularly at upper levels. The manuscripts may be partially complete.

Storybooks and novellas for students aged 13 and above and with a very strong learning component will be favourably considered. This learning component should not include overt preaching, although we are committed to developing values in our readers. Rather, we would like to see children learning about history, geography, science, grammar, etc as they read a story. The story should be suitable for international consumption, not overly localized.

Requirements for Authors:

1. Manuscripts must be in English, except for Chinese textbooks which are to be in English; Chinese characters (either traditional or simplified characters); and Romanized Chinese spelling (pinyin – Mainland Chinese version)
    
2. Manuscripts must be saved in Microsoft Word or Adobe InDesign
    
3. Manuscripts will preferably be short in length (certainly no more than 20,000 words in length).
    
4. Lightweight books, such as those on Pop Psychology or  Internet/Network Marketing, will not be considered.

How to Forward a Manuscript:

Manuscripts will not be returned, irrespective of their format.
Before forwarding manuscripts please make paper and electronic copies and store these copies safely.
The manuscripts will not be passed to a third party without the author's express permission.
The copyright in the works, of course, remains with the author during perusal.
